Church of St. Mary Resurrection Choir (Funeral Choir)

One of the greatest gifts a parish community offers is their presence at the death of a loved one. The Resurrection Choir sings at the funeral liturgies of our brothers and sisters in Christ from our parish community. The Resurrection choir sings praises to God for the life that this person lived and their eternal life to be in heaven. The Funeral Choir assists the grieving members of a funeral assembly by leading the sung prayers of the funeral liturgy. It is a ministry of service, love, and support on behalf of the whole parish community.

The main ministry of the choir is singing for funeral liturgies but the choir also gathers to sing for the parish liturgy of All Souls Day to remember all those who have gone before us in our parish community in the past year and all who have died.

Members must be able to match pitch. Notice of funerals is given to members via phone and email. Open to men and women who are free during the day. Members participate when their schedule permits.
