First Reconciliation

The sacramental preparation and reception of First Reconciliation happens during the student’s second grade year.  Along with class room instruction of Reconciliation, a series of Parent Meetings are held to keep parents informed of the First Reconciliation schedule and to instruct parents on the importance and significance of Reconciliation in their family lives.

First Reconciliation preparation usually occurs during the Fall of the year in the form of a concentrated six week class room program.

At the Parent Meetings, information is usually supplied to parents so they can help prepare their child at home.  This ‘for home use’ material serves two purposes:  to reinforce what the child is learning in class and to reinforce the significance of Reconciliation in the minds of the parents – thus, the family learns together.
