Founded: 1878 in St. Paul, Minnesota
Purpose: The Catholic Aid Association is a fraternal benefit society dedicated to working with you to improve the financial strength of your family, your church and your community. We work daily to help Catholics and their families build a more stable and secure financial foundation through the purchase of life insurance, annuities and IRAs; mobilize volunteers to help meet parish, school and community needs; and provide funds and fundraising support for Catholic parishes and schools.
Mission Statement: The Catholic Aid Association exists as a not-for-profit fraternal benefit society to:
*Promote fraternalism and charity among our members through a Local Council system and a representative form of government.
*Provide our members with life insurance, annuities and other products, services and benefits that will contribute to the financial well being of our members and their families.
*Support the Roman Catholic Church in extending the faith, especially by commending and encouraging Catholic schools and religious education.
*Strive to be a good employer and contributing member of our community.

Membership: CAA currently has 74,000 members
Region: CAA is licensed to do business in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and North and South Dakota.

Councils: Catholic Aid has a network of parish councils that raise funds for Catholic schools, religious education programs, and for financial aid to CAA members in financial distress due to illness, military service or natural disaster.
